South Devon Organic Producers (SDOP) is a co-operative of 13 farmers who grow organic vegetables in the beautiful fields of South Devon.
SDOP now has sales of several £millions and we harvest over 850 acres of vegetables each year.
It is an exemplar of how a co-operative can really work for the mutual benefit of its members, customers and staff.
By planning the cropping together with Riverford we are able to grow 85 different varieties of vegetables to keep the boxes interesting all year. Our land stretches from the edges of Dartmoor down to the coast where the warm sea air protects the fields from frost and allows us to grow winter crops.
